The Life of a Hustler
- Originally born in New York City, and raised in West Philadelphia, I came from a family of South Carolina Farmers and immigrating Polish Jews that all knew how to cook, and in their own special way contributed to my culinary aspirations.
- I took every chance to cook for my friends and family from an early age, and after graduating first West Philadelphia Catholic High School, and subsequently the County College Of Morris in Randolph NJ, to complete his Culinary and Hospitality training in 2006 I embarked on my professional culinary journey.
- While unorthodox, I applied my trade wherever I could. From off-premises catering, to opening new restaurants, running summer camps, and even once having the honor of cooking for then Vice, and now, President Joe Biden. Big or small, no opportunity was unworthy of improving, and as a result, I have had my hands in many experiences and venues.
- For the year of 2016, I backpacked my way through over 11 countries in Europe, to discover the flavors, sights, and sounds of the EU. Networking with young professional chefs that too were learning their trade, and were willing to share culinary insights and techniques to a fellow Chef.
- Recently, I have also traveled to Mexico, Jamaica and Israel, making sure to pick the brains of every chef or food vendor I encountered to pick up any delicious tips that were offered. I’m eternally inspired by the things around me, and becoming a Chef, and improving daily in my craft, has given me purpose. I’m driven by creating homemade, high quality foods. Anything else would be uncivilized.
